Asheboro High School's inaugural Mens Volleyball season saw the Blue Comets finish with 9 wins and 5 losses. A post-season tournament is expected to begin this week.

Mens Volleyball is not a sanctioned high school sport in North Carolina but that could change soon. For the NCHSAA to consider adding a sport to the official list of those recognized by the governing body, at least 25% of member schools must participate in that sport. According to published reports, the voluntary organization North Carolina Boys Volleyball Association has stated that the threshold (112 schools) has been surpassed this spring and a vote to sanction the sport will be held during this week's NCHSAA spring meeting.
