for Trinity. Lincoln Coble gave up 2 hits and struck out 4 batters in three innings for the win.

Andrew Thomas hit a double and a triple and scored a run. Colin Duval had 2 hits with a triple and a run
scored. Will Dabbs and Chase Collins also had 2 hits with a double each. Caden Waugh had a hit, an rbi and 1 run scored.
Trevor Kirkman pitched five innings and got the win allowing 2 runs on 4 hits and 5 walks with 8 strikeouts.

Logan Weidman pitched 4.2 innings and got the win allowing 1 run on 2 hits and 5 walks with 7 strikeouts.

Dees was the winning pitcher with 4 runs on 5 hits and 4 walks while striking out 2 batters in four innings. Rogers

Wheatmore led from the first inning but Gray Stone tied the game in the sixth and walked off in the bottom of the seventh.

Weidman (triple, rbi, 3 runs) and Lane Poole (double, rbi, run). Single hits by Carson Williams (2

Blankenship got the win in relief of Sykes.

Starting pitcher Peyton Williams struck out 12 batters and Walker Parrish went 3-for-3 at the plate with a

2 batters but preserved the shutout with 3 strikeouts.

Amanda Crabtree hit a 3-run home run in the fourth inning to get Eastern to within a run at 6-5 and her sixth
inning grand slam produced what turned out to be the winning runs for the Wildcats. For the game, Crabtree had 3
hits, scored 3 runs and drove in 8 runs.
There were 2 hits each by Adie Beck (run), Hailey Ritter (run), Shelby Williams (double, rbi, run) and
Brroklyn Jones (2 rbi, 2 runs). Vivian Underwood had a double, 2 rbi and a run scored.
Beck pitched the complete game win.

The Blue Comets started hot when Kayla Basulto walked to lead off the bottom of the first inning. She scored
on an rbi double by Kyndall Snipes then Snipes scored on Cora Little's 2-run homer. After one inning Asheboro was leading 7-0.
Snipes had 2 hits in the game with 3 rbi and 2 runs scored. In addition to Little's home run, Mykala Cook
(rbi) and Madison Hicks (2 rbi, 2 runs) also had hits. Claire Younts and MJ Cass both scored 3 runs.
Cook was the winning pitcher giving up 2 unearned runs on 2 hits amd 1 walk with 5 strikeouts in three innings.

Randleman senior Brandon Boone has signed with Wingate University for football.
The defensive lineman will join the Wingate Bulldogs in the
South Atlantic Conference.
Asheboro's Emma Little is missing her senior soccer season because of surgery but has committed to Pfeiffer University for soccer. The Pfeiffer Falcons are members of the USA South Conference.

March 15, 2026 - NCHSAA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The North Carolina High School Athletic Association basketball championships concluded Saturday night in Winston-Salem. Of note:
Cherokee girls was the only repeat champion from last year winning their third straight title.
Northern Guilford girls from the TAAC won their third championship (2017, 2018).
Salisbury denied Reidsville a third straight title in the 4A boys championship.
Maiden girls was the only undefeated team finishing 29-0 and champions in 4A.
Hoggard High School had both girl's and boy's teams finish as state runner-up in 8A.
Southern School of Sustainability and Energy boys won in 7A but the girl's team lost the title game.

The Triad Area Athletic Conference has announced All-Conference honors for the winter sports season. These
include mens and womens basketball, mens wrestling and mens and womens swimming.
Among those with special honors are Asheboro High School coaches Charles Neighbors and Wes Luther. Neighbors
was named TAAC Coach of the Year in Mens Swimming and Luther received the same honor in womens basketball.

Grayson Fauber was 3-for-3 at the plate and drove in 1 run. Walker Parrish had 2 hits with an rbi and 2 runs
scored. There were single hits by Brody Little (run), Indiana Hill (2 rbi, run), Cameron Hill (rbi). Cohen Wolfe (2 rbi),

Both teams scored in the first inning with Southwestern Randolph leading 2-1. Pitching and defense from
both teams dominated until both scored again in the sixth with Uwharrie Charter ending up in front 4-3.
Jake Hunter gave up 3 unearned runs on 6 hits with 5 strikeouts in seven innings for the win.
Wilson Boswell had a double which drove in Brody Engle for the go-ahead run. There were singles by Jake
Hunter (rbi), Ty McAualey (run) and Engle (run).
Grant Kirk had 2 hits for the Cougars with an rbi. Carson Williams doubled and scored. Brady Armfield
(run), Elijah Sykes and Logan Weidman each hit singles.

The High Point University women's basketball team is headed to the NCAA Tournament for a second straight year as
champions of the Big South Conference. Junior Brecken Snotherly (ER '23) has started 26 of the Panther's 32 games
and will await the NCAA seeding process scheduled for Sunday, March 15.

Alton Tyre Invitational at Southeast Guilford Relays - LOCAL RESULTS
Wheatmore's boys team was represented in the event by 8 individuals and 4 relay teams while and Randleman
had 3 individuals competing in the girl's meet and 9 individuals and 2 relay teams in the boy's event.
The top local finishers included 6th place finishes in the girl's meet by Reagan Henley (1600m run) and Ayla Trotter (discus). The top results
for Randleman's boys team included Jazai Cassady 2nd (long jump), Matthew Bowman 2nd (pole vault), Jackson Routh 3rd (110m hurdles) and a pair of 4th
place finishes for Izaiah Troxler (discus and shot put). The Tigers 4x200 meter relay team finished in 6th place.
Wheatmore athletes got 4th place finishes by Ayden Fitzgerald (1600m run) and Truman Auman (high jump)
and 5th place by the 4x400 meter relay team.

Armfield was the fourth pitcher used in the Cougars' opener and suffered the loss as South Stanly scored 3 (unearned) runs in
the top of the seventh to take the lead.

The Vikings led 8-1 after three innings and wrapped out 13 hits including 2 home runs in the win.Cameron Hill,
Indiana Hill and Nick Soles each pitched two innings totaling 1 walk against 3 strikeouts.
The Bulldogs had single hits by Walker Parrish (run), Peyton Williams and Quinn Johnson.
West Davidson 11, Eastern Randolph 1
Eastern Randolph took advantage of 3 walks, a hit batter and an Isaiah Batchelor rbi single to score 3 runs in the bottom
of the second inning and tie the game but West Davidson took advantage of Wildcat mistakes for the win. The only other hit
for ER was a single by Chance Holdaway.
Holdaway, Maddox Dunn, Landon Albright and Miles Cox shared time on the mound surrendering 11 runs (4 er) on 7 hits and
10 walks with 10 strikeouts. Dunn suffered the loss.
