Wheatmore – Kirsten Hart, Hailey Mince, Abbey Parrish and Skyler Swaney.
The 2A Player of the Year in District Five is Kaylee Carter (ERHS).
The 2A Pitcher of the Year in District Five is Anna Thomas (PGHS).
3A
Southwestern Randolph – Hailee Cagle, Samantha Lagrama, Blair Lamb, Heaven Maness and Shayna Ritter.
The 3A Player of the Year in District Five is Blake Overman (Eastern Alamance).
The 3A Pitcher of the Year in District Five is Sydnee Hilliard (Ledford).
Each All-District player is considered for All-State recognition. All-State awards are determined by July 4th each year.
June 15, 2017 - The first American Legion Softball season got started Thursday as Randolph County and Rowan County split a doubleheader at Southwestern Randolph High School.
Rowan plated four runs in the first inning of game one and went on to a 10-2 victory.
Randolph responded with a 6-1 win in the nightcap.
The revised Randolph County schedule includes a June 26th visit to Cabarrus County to make up Tuesday's rainout:

June 8, 2017 – The North Carolina High School Athletic Association has released conference standings in the Wells Fargo Cup following the spring sports seasons. An annual award is presented by Wells Fargo and the NCHSAA for the “best overall interscholastic athletic performance” in each of the four classifications based on the performances of all of a school's athletic teams.

June 7, 2017 - Caleb Webster, Randleman High School graduate and Randolph County Post 45 standout, has been named to the 2017 All-America Team by Collegiate Baseball (baseballnews.com).
Recognized by the Southern Conference as Freahman of the Year, Webster was the everyday third baseman for the UNC-G Spartans and led the nation for freshman batting average hitting .383 this season.

June 2, 2017 - The accolades continue to come in for Jordan-Matthews graduate and former Eastern Randolph Post 81 standout Casey Golden.
Collegiate Baseball (baseballnews.com) has named the UNC-Wilmington senior to their All-America Roster (Second Team) for 2017.
Golden was named the Colonial Athletic Conference Player of the Year last month.
